FULL TIME CERTIFICATE ACTING PROGRAM
The Actors Workshop offers a full time day program which enables a comprehensive approach to theatre education. The program is divided into two five-week sessions. Students are encouraged to take both sessions for the optimal benefit. Each session, however, can be taken individually based on auditioning or acceptance.
SESSION ONE: BUILDING A CRAFT
Basic skills will be explored and developed. Classes will include speech, improvisation, movement and scene study. Students will be encouraged to develop a cohesive unit which will enable them to work as an ensemble.
SESSION THREE: PERFORMANCE
Utilizing skills from the previous session, the students will put on a full production. In addition to official class time, there will be additional hours of rehearsal to insure a terrific showcase performance upon completion. The performance will take place in our new 90-seat proscenium theatre, the most exciting new theatrical venue in the city!
