BEGINNING STAGE ACTING
The perfect introductory course for those with little or no acting experience.

This class offers intensive training in the rudiments of acting. It is aimed at preparing the student for further work in scene study and performance. This is also a tremendous process to improve communication skills and to gain confidence and poise for all aspects of personal and professional life.
Activities include Stanislavski exercises, theatre games and improvisation. This course also involves intensive scene work with classical and contemporary works, which culminate in a showcase performance in our newly constructed theatre.


INTERMEDIATE ACTING/ MEISNER TECHNIQUE
In depth exploration of a major theatre technique

Intermediate Acting will focus on scene studies and dramatic exercises, building on the skills which were introduced in Beginning Acting. Throughout the semester you will be assigned three or four scenes to explore, experiment and play. The class is designed to flex your acting muscle by casting you in several different types of roles. This class will also consist of a variety of dramatic games and improvisational exercises. In addition, you will be introduced to the Meisner technique of acting, which relies heavily on listening and repetition exercises. The class will culminate with a showcase of scenes.
